Dementia & Learning Disability Day Centre

It’s about time I did a review for Mabel Rose – you get what you deserve in life….

Dementia is difficult for all concerned and especially for the person who is diagnosed with it – and I have always wanted Maggie to have a good a year as possible

Mabel Rose has everyday continually provided Maggie with many ‘qualities of life’, that I could not – companionship, friendship, activities, and with competent care and safety (and did I mention, she is well fed!), which has been invaluable for ‘a good a year as possible’, and it is a pleasure to see her so happy – long may it last!

I have suggested that if Mabel’s instigates a daily cocktail hour, then I will sign up….

Buddies has been a safe and stimulating day care setting for our adult son for 2 years now. Every morning he looks forward to going to Buddies and meeting his fellow members to have a great day under expert care.

My son has been attending ‘Buddies’ Day Service at Heath Farm for the past 4 years. He mainly helps in the kitchen preparing meals for the day care attendees. He is so happy there and, despite his personal challenges he is always eager to attend. I , myself drop him off each day knowing he will be well looked after and his needs are met. Keep up the fantastic work you do and a special shoutout to Jono.

We both find the team supportive, flexible and compassionate. The time Terry spends at the centre is very good for him and gives me a day to do what I need to do.

Mum is living with Alzheimer’s. For the past year, she regularly went to Mabel Rose Day Centre. This gave us as family, a day of respite, knowing that she was being cared for and in the best possible hands. She would socialise, get involved in activities or just receive comfort and reassurance if she was having a bad day. The staff are so friendly and professional. Sadly, mum now lives in a care home, but her days at Mabel were so precious for her and us. Thank you Sam and team for looking after her so well.

My mum attends this day care facility. It was recommended by a friend, and I must say without doubt the best thing that’s happened for my mum. It’s the one day a week I can go to work without the worry of an unexpected phone call etc.
The staff are all very approachable, professional, caring and kind.
